From Saint-Gély, the picturesque villages of Cornillon, Goudargues, Roques-sur-Cèze and Montclus are minutes away. The region is extremely rich in history. Roman and Medieval sites, towns, and cities are abundant. These attractions include Pont du Gard, Orange, Nîmes, Uzes, Arles and Avignon.
For those who enjoy wine tasting, Saint-Gély has a wonderful winery. There are also innumerable fine wine cellars in the area, with Chateau-Neuf-du-Pape being the most prestigious, only a twenty minute drive away.
The region's landscape allows for diverse outdoor recreational activities. Visitors enjoy kayaking, canoeing and hiking. Adventurers also go spelunking and caving in the Ardèche river valley system.
